I got probably some bad news for you.
Last week I didn't post the Classic of the Week. I did that with a reason. This was a check to test if my visitors would remind me of posting it, then I should know if people actually care for the Classic of the Week. Unfortunately, this was a sign that the Classic of the Week is not popular enough to continue. After more than 9 months, in week 13 (April 2nd), I will announce the very last Classic of the Week. That will be my all-time favorite. Here...

This is our little anthem. "We are rocking non stop"! Just a phrase out of the lyrics of this song by Brainpower and The Partysquad!
Brainpower's time is over now, he tried in 2012 something with Hing Hing Hing, but wasn't a success at all. The Partysquad is still going strong, with their new single Helemaal naar de Klote at #2 in the OsChart.
Non Stop is the Classic of the Week!

The pope quits! That's useful for the Classic of the Week: a Christian hit!
You could go a lot of ways with that, like Christmas songs, Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah or Faithless - God is a DJ. But this has something to do with Jesus.
This Belgian dance formation consists of Filip, Regi and Linda and are still making songs, but are only scoring in Belgium.
This songs was their international breakthrough and a worldwide hit. Milk Inc. is the Classic of the Week!

Carnival is coming up! I haven't celebrate it yet, but I'm going to travel to the southern regions of the country this week, just to party my ass off! ;-)
We've had a lot of carnival's hits, and the king was André van Duin! Last night he released a new song, but don't forget all his classics! Recently we've got De Balletjes van de Koningin and Ome Cor heb een Drilboor, but in 1981 there was one of his biggest hits.
André van Duin has got the Classic of the Week!

This week our queen announced to abdicate on April 30th after 33 years of ruling the country. Our Dutch queen was on the news worldwide and yet very popular.
So I've chosen a song about royals.
It's not the first thing you should expect of a song about royals, but the title says it all.
Get your air guitars, 30 Seconds to Mars is Classic of the Week!

Frank Tomiczek was born in 1968 in Bottrop, Germany. In the late 1980's he started performing as DJ and scored a few hits in Germany since 1994.
But there was that one song, it became a huge hit all over Europe and was his only big international hit. I'm talking about Da Hool.
We're going 16 years back in time, to 1997. Meet Her at the Love Parade is this week's Classic of the Week!

He's back! Suit & Tie is his first new song since 2007, but now he's back on track!
In those 6 years, he did a lot of acting in movies like The Social Network. Now, in 2013, he decided to go back to where it all started.
When Justin Timberlake entered the recording studio, he didn't have high expectations. But he recorded a new album and the first single already broke some records.
But don't forget all his big hits he had, like Cry me a River, Lovestoned, I'm Lovin' It a...

My personal heroes of the 90's! Ray Slijngaard and Anita Doth!
They broke through in 1991 with Get Ready for This, followed by hits as Twilight Zone, Tribal Dance and Let the Beat Control Your Body. They made a short comeback in 2010, releasing In Da Name of Love. I'm talking about 2 Unlimited!
Their biggest hit was 20 years ago, reaching the #1-position worldwide.
No Limit is this week's Classic of the Week!

Happy New Year! Not only it's 2013, also it's the Nonstopper's second anniversary! Too bad, it's too recent to make a classic out of it.
Luckily it's a holiday today! And there's only one big New Year's classic.
Because it's the only famous New Year's song it's been overplayed a lot, but everybody recognizes it.
We're travelling back to Sweden, 1980. ABBA is Classic of the Week!

The last Classic of the Week of 2012! It's too easy to get another Christmas classic, so I've hunted down the archives.
It's exactly six years ago James Joseph Brown died. He was known as The Godfather of Soul, Mr. Dynamite and America's Soulbrother Nr. 1.
A lot of people don't know he was the inventor of the moonwalk, instead of Michael Jackson.
Everybody knows at least two songs of him: I Got You (I Feel Good) and Sex Machine. And that last one is this week's Classic of th...

It's winter and getting colder everywhere! Siberian temperatures I would say.
Dutch poet Heinz Hermann Polzer has made a few poet songs, such as Veerpont and Knolraap en Lof, Schorseneren en Prei. They're all funny songs, but this is his most famous one.
He's now 83 years old, and stopped writing 16 years ago.
Drs. P is the Classic of the Week!

Yesterday it was 31 years ago that she was born in Surrey, Great Britain. She started in her teenage years a band 'The DNA Algorithm' with her brother Daniel and her little sister Nikita.
After that she started with a psychological study, but stopped with that because she wanted to focus on her singing career. And that was the right thing to do!
You may know her from hits such as Unwritten, I Bruise Easily, I Wanna Have Your Babies and Shake Up Christmas 2011, but her breakthrough...

Debuting as a 39-year old rock chick. You wouldn't think it was possible.
