Artis Ivey Jr. was born at August 1st, 1963 in California.

This song is a cover of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise from 1973 and was the soundtrack of the movie Dangerous Minds.

It was a huge hit all over the world and reached #1 in 15 countries.

We're going 15 years back in time to 1995, to the Gangsta's Paradise!

Four more years. It's maybe the quote of the year. It's the most retweeted tweet ever, tweeted last night at 05:16 by Barack Obama.

He is elected for a second term as president of the United States.

In my opinion he's way better than George W. Bush, and I'm not the only one. P!nk wrote a song 5 years ago, as a critical open letter to Bush. I think there's no need to make a song like this with four more years of Obama.

P!nk is Classic of the Week!

Tomorrow it's Halloween! You would think Thriller by Michael Jackson is the Classic of the Week, you're wrong! Thriller was a few months ago already Classic of the Week.

I have something you may need tomorrow night. Everybody knows this song and knows the line "Who you gonna call?".

Ray Parker Jr.'s Ghostbusters is this week's Classic of the Week!

He's the king. Again. He was leader of the DJ Mag Top 100 in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2011 took David Guetta his #1-spot over, but this year he returned to #1 and put Guetta back to #4.

Armin van Buuren is for the fifth time the best DJ of the world!

I was looking to the date this song entered the Dutch Top 40, and that was the same day I created the OsChart (August 7th 2010). I feel really bad for having this song not ranked in the OsChart, because this song is a masterpiece...

Do you know who came up with 'Girl Power'?

Victoria, Melanie, Melanie, Emma and Geri did! This British girl group was formed in 1993 as a marketing project, but became a big name in the world of pop music.

Their music is the equivalent of wrong and their debut single is also a huge gay anthem.

This year they made a comeback one more time at the closing ceremony of they Olympic Games.

Of course I'm talking about the Spice Girls! Wannabe is this week's Classic of the We...

Last Friday Adele released the theme song of the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall.

There have been a lot of James Bond movies, the first movie was 50 years ago!

Every movie had a theme song sang by a popular artist like Tom Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Tina Turner, Alicia Keys and... Madonna!

She sung the theme song of Die Another Day, which became both Alarmschijf and Dancesmash!

Madonna's Classic of the Week!

It's almost Animal's day, so I was thinking to choose a classic that has something to do with animals.

I noticed we haven't had any happy hardcore classics, so it's about time!

The Party Animals are the heroes of the happy hardcore and had huge hits in 1996, '97 and '98, got twice an Alarmschijf and had three number 1-hits.

Have You Ever Been Mellow? is this week's Classic of the Week!

We aren't traveling 20 years back, not 30 years back, nor 40 years. We're going 41 years back in time, to 1971!

The original song has been sung by the Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969, but the most famous soul couple ever covered it two years later.

The official title is Proud Mary, but it's better known as 'Rolling on the River'.

Ike & Tina Turner are Classic of the Week!

I can't believe this wasn't a hit.

It's the ultimate headbanger. They got only one Top 40 hit, and that was Girls & Boys in 1993.

4 years later they released their 4th single, and that's the Classic of the Week! I don't get their logic by the way.

Last week I told you we would stay in 2004.

For the last summer classic we're traveling to Moldavia, where THE summer smash of 2004 was born.

I remember I was jumping and dancing to this song when I was 9 years old.

Some other Romanian and Moldavian acts made a remake, but the original is way better.

O-Zone is Classic of the Week!

We'll travel eight years back to 2004. The members of the band met each other at 1995, and formed Maroon 5 in 2001.

They broke through in 2004 with This Love and are still making huge hits, like recently Payphone and One More Night.

Maroon 5 got the Classic of the Week with This Love! Next week we'll stay in 2004.

Today it's already two years ago I started creating the OsChart. I started with a top 20, but after three weeks I advanced it to a top 40.

Some fun facts of the OsChart:

- Anouk - Killer Bee is the greatest hit, greatest Alarmschijf, greatest Nonstopper, greatest #1-hit and was the longest stayer! (1373 points, 43 weeks)

- Sandro Silva & Quintino - Epic is the greatest Dancesmash, and longest #1! (11 weeks at #1, 1202 points so far)

In 1966 the 25-year old Sergio Mendes covered a song from Jorge Ben Jor: Mas Que Nada. It was only popular in Latin America.

40 years later, in 2006, he covered this song again with the Black Eyed Peas and became worldwide #1.

It gives me the ultimate summer feeling, and that means that Mas Que Nada is the Classic of the Week!

We're traveling (haha) 10 years back in time, where Katrien Verbeeck broke through with Désenchantée. She scored hits with Ella Elle L'a, I Surrender and Lovelife. But there's one big hit I forgot: Voyage Voyage! The Classic of the Week is for Kate Ryan!

It's summer vacation! The upcoming seven weeks we only have summer classics, and you won't be disappointed.

We're going nine years back in time, to 2003!

In 2000 The Underdog Project debuts with Summer Jam, but it didn't chart in The Netherlands. Three years later they got a little help of the Sunclub, who had several summer smashes (Fiësta). The song became Alarmschijf AND Dancesmash, and had a huge #1-hit. We kick off the summer with The Underdog Project as Classic of the W...

Krokobil by Yellow Claw, Sjaak & Mr. Polska is this week's highest entry in the OsChart.

There are not much songs about crocodiles, but one song I will always remember. I was 9 when this German song entered the international charts, and in several countries - including The Netherlands - became #1.

It's an extremely stupid song, but it brings back memories.

The vocals are sung by Iris Gruttmann, and was recorded she was five years old. Three years later it was released as...
